On behalf of the Learning Disabilities Association of Ontario (LDAO) I am pleased to send you an electronic version of our new position paper on Interpretation of the LDAO Definition in Postsecondary Settings

The paper was developed by the Legislation & Policy Committee of LDAO in conjunction with Dr. Marjory Phillips, LDAO board member, and approved by the LDAO board. It reflects LDAO positions and information compiled and adapted from a number of sources that are included in the References. 

The position paper addresses the use and interpretation of the LDAO definition in decision-making about accommodations for students in postsecondary education. It should be viewed in conjunction with our 2010 position paper, Accommodating Students with LDs in Postsecondary Studies.
